The songs for Estonian preselection have been recorded for public presentation. The viewers of ETV can see the first clips this Saturday at 19.35 CET.

There are many artists who are unknown to the public. A new girl-band Vanilla Ninja is one of them, who is even unknown to Estonian public. Also a band called Family is just a few months old and they both promise a lot of girl-power.

Although the people connected to Eurolaul claim that the quality of the songs is as high as ever, there are no favourites and even Estonian press doesn't want to speculate about that. Still, some of the artists are more focused in the press than the others.

A young and beautiful new singer Kadi Toom seems to take Eurolaul very seriously with two songs. One of them is written by Priit Pajursaar and Glen Pilvre, who have a long and successful history as a songwriter for Estonian preselection – Eurolaul. Can we expect new Evelin Samuel (Estonian participant in 1999 with “Diamond of the Night”)? The ones who have heard the song promise the fans that.

Writing a song for Eurolaul seems to be a question of prestige in Estonia. The author of lyrics of two songs in the final, Maian Kärmas explaines: “Eurolaul is a gathering of fellowhood. I think that Estonians are not doing this for winning the contest – it's just a great excitement. Furthermore it's worth fighting to get to the international media”.
