Out of the 76 songs the broadcaster PSBBiH received for the national final of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 16 to 20 compositions will get the chance to compete in the final, which, unlike previous years, will not be held in the broadcaster's studio.

The Bosnian final of 2003 will take place on Saturday 22nd February in the capital Sarajevo. The choice of venue has not yet been made, but it will be organised in either the Skenderija hall or the Olympic hall of Zetra. Both have space enough for thousands of spectators, but the Olympic hall is the largest with a capacity for almost 5000 people.

The most well-known artists said to be of current interest are two former participants in the Eurovision Song Contest; Alma Cardzic (1994, Ostani kraj mene & 1997, Goodbye) and Amila Glamocak (1996, Za nasu ljubav). Several participants of the last years' national finals are also said to be among the possible finalists, one of these being Lily, who have failed twice to reach the European contest. Fans are full of expectations about a rumoured participation of the girl duo Erato, who have been a very successful group lately.

The announcement of the final choice of participating songs and artists is said to most probably take place right after, or even before, New Year's Eve. Then we'll also know the exact number of final entries.
