Unlike in the Eurovision Song Contest, the winner of JESC does not automatically get the rights of hosting the next year’s contest. However, after Italy denied hosting this year’s JESC, Malta and Bulgaria have offered to host it, with the latter getting the rights. We can expect then to come back to the Maltese islands for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
