The Spanish Eurovision selection Salvemos Eurovision kicked off the online voting yesterday on its myspace page. The Spanish public and online visitors have already started voting for their favourite songs among the more than 500 comepeting candidates. Currently La Caza Azul is leading the voting, followed by Mayte in second place. Coral, Anael and Mirela follow close behind.

TVE, the Spanish national broadcaster has come up with the most modern and innovative method to select its 2008 Eurovision entry. TVE has invited singers from all over Spain to upload their songs along with an introduction video of themselves, on the specialSpanish Eurovision myspace page of Salvemos Eurovision. Online voting kicked off yesterday where the public willvote fortheir favourite songs, henceforth the 5 most voted entries will qualify for the Spanish Eurovision national final scheduled to be held on the 1st of March. These 5 entries will be joined by another 5 entries which will be selected by a special expert jury. A total of 10 entries will battle out for the golden ticketto representSpain in Belgrade.

Currently La Casa Azul is leading the voting followed by Mayte, Coral, Anael and Mirela. All these candidates are in the top 5 currently. We still have 9 more days opened for voting.
