Last Saturday Ruth Lorenzo the Spanish 2014 Eurovision representative and Edurne the 2015 Spanish Eurovision representative met on TVE’s Alfombra Roja Palace! What happens when 2 Eurovision beauties meet?

Edurne performed her Eurovision entry Amanecer live for the second time on Spanish tv. Both Spanish Eurovision stars had a chance to meet and chat about Eurovision. Ruth Lorenzo wished Edurne the best of luck for Vienna and told her to enjoy the experience and that she had an amazing time last year in Copenhagen. She adviced  Edurne to be be herself , to love the Eurovision fans and to live every minute in Eurovision! Edurne and Ruth both reprised Amanecer‘s Ieoieoo together!

Both Ruth and Edurne graced the Spanish television show and got the chance to perform live. They were both interviewed by the hosts during the show. La Alfombra Roja Palace is aired every Saturday on TVE1 at 22:00 CET.

Ruth Lorenzo represented Spain at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with her entry Dancing in the rain, achieving a 10th place. This year Spain will be represented in Eurovision by Edurne and her entry Amanecer.

Spanish has competed in the Eurovision religiously every year since its debut in 1961. The country has won the event twice in 1968 with Massiel and in 1969 with Salome on home soil.
